On August 9, 2023, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) of Wangkhao Government College, Mon conducted a campaign titled “Meri Maati Mera Desh” (My Land, My Country).
The campaign by NCC took place at the college premises at 11:00 A.M meanwhile the NSS carried out the campaign online where 69 NSS Volunteers undertook a pledge on
– Make India developed and self-reliant by 2047,
– Remove any trace of colonial mindset.
– Celebrate our heritage.
– Strengthen unity and respect those who protect the country.
– Perform the duties of a citizen.
The National Flag was hoisted by Dr. T. Chandrasekharan, the Principal of the College, accompanied by the National Anthem and the slogan “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” (Victory to Mother India). Following this, Shri Doklong, CTO (NCC) & Assistant Professor, led the pledge-taking ceremony for “Meri Maati
Mera Desh” (My Land, My Country). The campaign was a success and instilled a sense of unity and patriotism towards one’s own country.
