Amidst the fluttering tricolor flags and the resonating echoes of patriotic fervor, our esteemed institution, Wangkhao Government College, participated with great vigor and enthusiasm in the remarkable commemoration of the 77th Independence Day. The event was held under the theme ‘Nation first and always first’ and took place at the local ground in Mon Town, Nagaland, under the patronage of the District Administration.
The college’s participation in the grand celebration included a mesmerizing melodious group song and a traditional folk dance, which aimed to preserve the culture of the region while honoring the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.
A total of 23 students presented a special song titled ‘Jeetega Jeetega,’ while 20 students showcased a captivating folk dance, highlighting the rich diversity of culture and traditions that our nation embraces.
The college’s active involvement in the event was duly acknowledged by the Guest of Honor, Shri K.G. Kenye, Minister of Power and Parliamentary Affairs. This recognition brought a great sense of fulfillment and ecstasy to the college, further motivating it to strive for even greater glory in the years to come.
