With the intention to see the hidden talents of the Wangkhao Government College students, Sports week was organised from 25/09 to 28/09/2018. Sports Committee consists of Convenor Mr Koshy CP, and Mr Abel Swu , Miss Shongna Konyak ,Mr Chotayato as members.
Total number students were divided into 4 Houses – BLUE:TEKANG; GREEN:TAPHI; RED: TEHOK;; YELLOW: YANGMON.
Volleyball, High jump, Long jump, 100m Sprint, 200m sprint, Shot-put, Discus, Relay 4×100, Javelin, Tug of War were the common events for boys and girls. Besides, football, 400m race, Sepak Takraw for boys were other events. On the other side, ‘Tunnel ball’ was an interesting event for girls. Many students participated with zealous and exhibited their talents.
The winners of various events were awarded certificates on the same day (28/9/18) by the Vice Principal, Koshy CP and Smt M Sudha ,HoD of Economics. Smt Herali Achumi , HoD of Sociology did benediction.
Miss Shongna Konyak was assisted by Miss Manshom, Mr Y Wangmok Konyak, Mr Yongang Konyak and Mr Bopai Konyak to conduct the programme.
Yangmon (Yellow) House emerged as the champions. Mr Longang Konyak, the General Secretary of Students’ Union proposed Vote of thanks.
