Women and Mental Health: The Unseen Challenges 19th Sept. 2022

The Mentoring and Remedial Committee in collaboration with Research Documentation and Career Counselling Committee organized a counselling session on “Women and Mental Health: The Unseen Challenges” on 19th Sept. 2022 at the college auditorium at 10:30 am.

The session was chaired by Dr. Esther P Konyak, Assistant Prof. Dept of History welcoming the resource person and everyone. The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Tenoseno Angami Associate Prof. Dept of History giving a brief remark on women.

The resource person Ms. Linokali Sumi, Clinical Psychologist, District Mental Health Programme spoke on women and mental health. She also stated about how women undergoes mental health problem every month through menstrual cycle. The resource person highlighted on the importance of knowing about physical and emotional changes during and after pregnancy.

The session was attended by over 250 female students and female faculties. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Tolivi H Sumi, Assistant Prof. Dept. of Economics and a group photo with the resource person and the female students.
