To observe World Suicide Prevention Day, 2021, the Department of Sociology in collaboration with the ICT and Website Committee organised a webinar with Ms. Rini Ghose, Co-founder and Director, Serendip Guardians, Dimapur as the Resource Person.
In keeping with the theme for the year “Creating Hope through Action”, Ms. Rini Ghose focussed on suicide and how it has become rampant in the world today. Individuals, be it young and old fall victim to attempting suicide. She urged that we as responsible individuals need to come forwards and spread awareness and create hope through our actions.
